FAQ

What is the cost per session?

Bonnie’s rate is $260 per individual therapy session and $300 per relationship/couples/partners/family therapy session. Bonnie’s associate therapists offer lower rates as well as a sliding scale to accommodate those in need. Feel free to check in with Bonnie or contact Bonnie’s associates directly to inquire further about rates as finances should not act as a deterrent from seeking therapy. If we cannot accommodate you for any reason, we will do our best to help you find a great fit who can.

Do you take insurance?

Bonnie and associates do not accept insurance plans directly. Depending on your insurance plan, we are happy to provide you with a monthly superbill of services rendered that you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. Prior to beginning therapy, please contact your insurance company to determine your reimbursement rates for behavioral health services by an "out-of-network" provider. Please note that insurance companies require a mental health diagnosis in order to qualify for reimbursement.

Do you offer a free phone consultation?

Yes! Bonnie offers a free 15-minute phone consultation for prospective clients to gather information and answer any questions you may have. This can help us determine if we may be a good fit. If Bonnie can’t accommodate you for any reason, or you feel another clinician may be a better match for your individual needs, Bonnie will do her best to provide you with a few tailored referrals.

What does the first session look like?

During our first session, we will review the Informed Consent and Bonnie’s practice policies. We will discuss your reasons for seeking treatment and discuss your short and long-term goals for therapy. The first session is all about getting to know you and for building a safe and trusting rapport together. The first session will help us determine if Bonnie is a good fit for your ongoing treatment.

How long will I be in treatment?

Some people decide that they are done with therapy once their therapeutic goals have been met - this time varies from person to person. Others view therapy as a long-term journey and relationship, choosing to stay in therapy for a longer period of time. Although the termination process is usually decided mutually by both you and Bonnie, your treatment is voluntary and you can choose to end therapy at any time.

What is your cancellation policy?

Bonnie requires a 48-hour notice of cancellation in order to avoid a full payment fee for a missed session. If this is concerning due to the nature of your circumstances, please discuss with Bonnie prior to entering treatment.
